At the Lincoln Elementary Library, our mission is to be a fun, exciting space where every student can explore, learn, and grow! We are here to help you fall in love with reading through awesome books that reflect all the diverse faces and stories in our school. Whether you are discovering a new favorite story, learning how to use technology safely, or working on cool projects with your teachers, the library is your place to wonder, create, and read your way to big ideas!

Check-out Policies

  • Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 1 book per visit.
  • 2nd & 3rd Grade: Up to 2 books at a time.
  • 4th & 5th Grade: Up to 3 books at a time.

Class Visits

Every class visits the library at least once a week. During their visit, students may check out books, participate in lessons, listen to read alouds, conduct research, and/or learn how to use new technology and/or apps. 

Lost/Damaged Books

Bag Policy (K-3): At the beginning of the year, each student in grades K-3 is provided a large ziploc bag to transport and protect the books they check out from the library. Students must return the books and the bag in order to check out each week. Replacement bags cost 25 cents each.

We don't charge fines for late books! However, if a book is lost or damaged, it will need to be paid for or replaced by the last day of school. (Any book that is missing for more than 30 days is considered lost.) Parents can pay for lost or damaged books at the front office or online.
